About the role
Develops and oversees health, safety and environmental strategies, systems and compliance across projects and operations. The role leads incident investigations, contractor HSE oversight and emergency preparedness.
Main responsibilities
- Drive safety culture through leadership, coaching and awareness programmes
- Monitor compliance with regulations, standards and company HSE requirements
- Oversee HSE performance of contractors, consultants and project teams
- Lead incident investigations and root cause analysis
- Ensure environmental management plans are implemented
- Manage emergency preparedness, drills and crisis procedures
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in occupational health and safety, environmental science, engineering or related discipline
- Proven experience managing HSE programmes on complex multidisciplinary projects
- Certifications such as NEBOSH, IOSH, CSP, CRSP or ISO 45001 Lead Auditor preferred
- Strong knowledge of local and international HSE regulations
Experience
12+ years of HSE experience, including large-scale infrastructure, construction or industrial projects.
