Who We Are

Built on the foundations of the Egypt Corporate Security Network, MECSN represents the evolution of a professional community into a broader regional platform connecting security leaders across the Middle East.

From ECSN to MECSN

ECSN — the Egypt Corporate Security Network — was established to bring together corporate security leaders and security-related professionals working in Egypt. Its members have included professionals in corporate security and related functions within multinational corporations and other organisations operating in the country.

In many organisations, security professionals face similar challenges but work in isolation: workplace security, employee protection, operational risk, emergency response, investigations, compliance, business continuity and the management of security service providers. ECSN was created to close that gap — giving security managers, directors and risk professionals a place to connect outside their own organisations, exchange practical knowledge and learn from one another.

The network has hosted professional gatherings, industry discussions, LinkedIn publications, awareness initiatives and networking events — among them an annual Ramadan Sohour gathering that brings together the corporate security community and invited professional groups. It has also championed conversations about ethics in corporate investigations, gifts and hospitality, conflicts of interest, responsible security procurement and respect for employee rights.

Corporate security is not only about protecting buildings and assets. It is also about protecting people, maintaining trust, supporting business operations and acting with integrity.

As the network grew, its leadership recognised that the challenges faced by security professionals in Egypt are shared across the Middle East. Regional businesses operate across multiple jurisdictions and increasingly need cooperation between security leaders in different countries. MECSN is the result: the same relationships, values and purpose, with a regional outlook.

Two complementary communities

Individual professionals

Corporate security directors and managers, regional and heads of security, risk management and compliance leaders, business continuity and crisis management professionals, corporate investigators, loss prevention managers, security technology managers and corporate resilience specialists.

Security industry businesses

Private security service providers, security systems integrators, security technology companies, risk management and crisis management consultancies, business continuity consultancies, security training providers and other businesses providing relevant professional security services or solutions.

What MECSN is not

MECSN is an independent professional networking and knowledge-sharing platform. It is not a security service provider and does not sell guarding, equipment or services on behalf of its members. It is not a recruitment agency, a government regulator or a security certification authority. Membership is not a government endorsement, certification or accreditation.
