The Egypt Corporate Security Network is now MECSN, the Middle East Corporate Security Network, expanding its community of security, risk and compliance leaders across the region.

The Egypt Corporate Security Network (ECSN) is now MECSN, the Middle East Corporate Security Network. The new name and identity reflect the network’s growth into a regional platform connecting corporate security, risk management, compliance and resilience professionals across the Middle East.

Why the change

ECSN was created to give corporate security professionals in Egypt something they rarely had: a place to connect outside their own organisations. Members have shared practical experience, discussed ethics in investigations and responsible procurement, and come together at gatherings such as the network’s annual Ramadan Sohour.

As the network grew, one point became clear. The challenges members face in Egypt are shared across the region: protecting people and facilities, managing evolving regional risks, maintaining business continuity, and meeting regulatory expectations. Many members work for organisations that operate in several countries and need trusted counterparts beyond their own borders.

What stays the same

MECSN is an evolution of ECSN, not a new organisation. Existing relationships, values and purpose continue unchanged: connecting professionals, sharing knowledge, and promoting integrity, fair competition and high professional standards. MECSN remains an independent professional network. It is not a security services company, a recruitment agency or a certification body.

What’s new

  • A regional community connecting security, risk and compliance leaders across the GCC, Egypt, the Levant and North Africa.
  • Two membership categories: individual membership for professionals, and business membership for responsible security-related companies. Each has its own eligibility rules and review process.
  • Public member directories for approved members who choose to be listed.
  • A Code of Conduct setting out the ethical commitments every member makes.
  • Security News and a Knowledge Center with regional developments, analysis and practical guidance.
  • A Middle East security jobs board for management and professional roles, linking candidates directly to employers.
  • Events bringing members together across the region.

Where security leaders connect

The network’s slogan, Where Security Leaders Connect, sums up the idea behind the change: security challenges don’t stop at organisational or national boundaries, and neither should professional collaboration.
